About this role 💛

We're looking for a Full Stack Engineer with a passion for solving tough problems. Thousands of fans will see your work within seconds – a difficult but incredibly rewarding responsibility. You will work closely with the Head of Engineering and Product team to build scalable delightful experiences. This position will have a great impact to our engineering culture and foundation.

What will I be doing? 👩‍💻👨‍💻

• Working on exciting technical challenges - We’re building a high concurrency real-time application. When big sports moments happen, our application needs to handle big spikes in traffic.
• Implementing features in the Stadium Live app: Building backend functionality, implementing it in the frontend and overseeing its release to our users
• Help build a strong architecture that can support massive scale as we grow to 10x our current user base
• Be a technical bar-raiser for high code quality, architectural designs, and long-term approaches
• Collaborate with product and engineering team to build new features for the app
• Be able to make the tradeoffs between business needs and clean code while shipping fast and quality work
• Be autonomous in leading different projects and key features' development from beginning to end
• Fix bugs and issues that may arise
• Refactor and fine-tune the end-user experience

What you'll bring 🤓

• 2-3 years of experience as a software engineer (co-op experience included)
• Strong technical depth with JavaScript, with expertise or a desire to learn TypeScript and React Native
• Ability to move up and down the stack to own features end-to-end
• Experience building and shipping quality Javascript code for both frontend and backend applications (Typescript, Node.js, GraphQL, React.js, React Native)
• Comfort working with ambiguity and get excited about working collaboratively to better define complex problems, figure out solutions, and then execute on them
• A practice of keeping up with industry trends and assessing new technologies that can help your team better solve problems
• Product-orientated mindset with a desire to make the best end-user experience
• You appreciate the demanding and dynamic nature of working in an early-stage startup environment

• Experience with real-time high-concurrency applications
• Experience with scaling large distributed applications, including database optimization and frontend performance
• Experience with managing DevOps & CI/CD workflows & processes
